Rhos Y Gwaliau 2017/2018

The residential to Rhos-y-Gwaliau is about to commence! Everyone is very excited about our week away. You should all have received the final letter stating the time of our departure and the time of our return.

Please make sure that you have written your child a letter  - this is a must! The letter and pocket money should be given to staff and not packed away with your child's clothes.

We will make sure we contact you on Sunday to inform you of our arrival.

We aim to update parents daily but please be patient. The days are long and very tiring and we work with the children until they are in bed. Sometimes this is the first opportunity we get to upload photographs etc. We do get there eventually!!!

Sunday Night - The Night Walk

After a lovely supper of fish fingers and chips and ice cream and peaches, we got into our waterproofs and walking boots ready for our ‘night walk’.

We set off on a dry, but muddy walk, up to the top of a hill behind Rhos-y-Gwalia. We had great fun slipping and sliding. The walk took us past a stream and a farm house. At the top of the hill we turned off our torches and looked up at the stars. All we could hear was the sound of the wind and the stream.

On the way down, we all had great fun – lots of laughter as our boots filled with mud!

We are now in our pyjamas drinking hot chocolate.

Not sure what time everyone will go to sleep tonight! Enjoy the peace at home!
