Remembrance Day Poppies
A Fabulous Display!
To mark Remembrance Day, The whole school held a two minutes silence at 11 am. They also created a beautiful remembrance garden on the front forecourt of school. Key Stage 1 designed wreaths using paint and tissue paper, whilst Foundation stage have used cake cases to form their poppies. Year 3 children created poppy bunting in the artistic style of pointillism. Each year 4 class made a giant poppy using their fingers prints, signifying the joining together of all to commemorate those who gave their lives for future generations. Year 6 children wrote out and discussed the meaning of the poem “In Flanders Fields” by John McCrae.
