Stay Home, Stay Safe!
A Message from the Head Teacher
As I am sure you are all aware, the situation with the Covid-19 virus is constantly changing.
I need to continue to stress to you the importance of keeping your children at home, if at all possible. We all have a duty to stop this virus from spreading and each pupil or member of staff we have into school is making the risk of this spreading far greater. I know that we are in unprecedented and challenging times and it is a strain on all. Therefore, I must on personal note request that if you have your child/children down to attend Winchcombe school over the next two weeks that you take a moment to consider the severity of this situation and the intention behind the decision to close schools. Just reiterate, the most recent advice on how to further limit the spread of Covid-19 is clear. I will be honest – my staff are also scared and are worried about their families too. If your child/children can safely stay at home they MUST do so to limit the virus spreading and to protect everyone’s family. We all know that by the very nature of young children that they find it very hard not to be in close proximity to each other when together!
I so hope you and your family keep safe and healthy during this uncertain time. I look forward to the day we can re-open the school and welcome all your children back.
Thank you very much for your continued understanding and support – it is very much appreciated.
